Paintball giant Greg Hastings chose Falcon Punch Productions for product photography aimed at pushing his already successful R7 Replay line of paintball cameras into the exploding airsoft arena. These tiny cameras pack a huge technical punch and fit perfectly into the aesthetic form factor that airsoft players can’t live without. Greg and R7 use these images for promotional and demonstrative purposes across their website and social media platforms.

Exalt Paintball came to Falcon Punch Productions for product photography on a whole line of their new product. FPP shot everything from marker accessories to apparel and lifestyle products. Exalt uses these images for promotional materials, catalogues, price sheets, and online retail. Exalt also offers custom runs of many of their products, complete with any logo or design their customer requires.

Proving that I can escalate pretty much anything to the next level, I’ve been procrastinating on these posts for so long that I’m now over a year behind. In light of that, I’ve decided to eschew a full descriptive post for now in favor of getting more pictures out there to you.

This set was taken over the course of a couple weeks in the Czech Republic. Finally, thankfully, leaving Italy on train by way of Austria and Prague, we eventually made our way to Nepomuk. This tiny town in the Plzen region is barely big enough to have a train station, but is surrounded by low mountains and some really fantastic forests. If you have any interest in hiking or exploring, than this is a place for you to check out.

The family that boarded us lived in a farm house enveloped on all sides by forest. Anthony, the father, was a lorry driver from the UK by trade but a woodworker by passion, spending any spare time in the workshop with plans for serious renovations on their home. Zuzana, his wife, was a work from home regional representative for a company of secret shoppers, but also a great home maker and fantastic cook. For the life of me, I don’t know how she balanced it all. They had two daughters, Ella and Mia, who were raised on both English and Czech. It was almost humorous how they would ask permission in Czech for things they knew Dad would deny. The family kept goats, pigs, chickens, geese, rabbits, and a robust garden of radishes, berries, and anything else they could get to grow.

Panoramas

Noun:
1. An unbroken view of the whole region surrounding an observer.
2. A picture or photograph containing a wide view.

Panoramic photography is the term usually reserved for the act of taking multiple pictures of a single scene and stitching them together later. This technique allows equipement with relatively narrow viewing angle to capture a scene that most fisheye lenses couldn’t reach. For me, a good pano is a picture that makes me feel, as much as a photo is able to, as if I was there and can actively look around and explore the surroundings.

I decided that, since I love panoramas and I take so many of them, I should keep them all together in one place. This will be that place. I’ll keep this gallery updated as I take new panoramas. Click each picture for the title and a description.

A mutually beneficial interaction between my self and a fellow car enthusiast friend of mine, Sean. Sean had just “completed” – honestly, when is a car project ever really done? – this 180sx conversion project when he got an offer on it that he just couldn’t refuse. He got pictures to send to his buyer, and I got something to put on this page. Win win.
